Hostel Life 4

Back to memory lane : 7 July 2011

After the class of the day, we were having our mentor-mentee session. I stood there for quite a long time and finally my mentor came and met me up. Some knew their mentors days before because they met before, unlike me.

We were seated with our mentors face to face, communicate and interact with each other, getting to know and understand one and other. She was a very nice senior, having fair skin and was quite good looking girl. We used to talk in Mandarin, then changed to Hokkien because both of us were Penangite.

Every mentor will give his/her mentee a small gift and I got mine a packet of small cupcakes and a love letter. Haha. Not a love letter actually. It was a paper, wrote on some encouraging words. Although it wasn't expensive gift but I appreciate it a lot. Thanks, my mentor. =)

After that, we went for a light dinner and attend the welcoming party held by Christian Fellowship members. A nice party with exciting games. 2 losers per round and it included my classmate for both round. They have to perform as a penalty. Party ended around 9pm.

And one more important thing, I would like to introduce my roommate. After for about 1 week there, I finally remembered to get a photo with her. She was Pei Yin, Penangite also. She was a quiet and gentle girl, I have a very big different with her but still manage to mix well with her.

Briefly talked about the welcoming party, I will update about it if I get the photos. 2 more parties are coming up soon. And Year 1 Semester 1 lesson going to start from Monday onwards. Work hard!

This weekends will be staying at my own home. The feeling of going back home was so nice. And everyone was busy adding new friends in Facebook, chatting and spamming wall. Haha. Seems like everyone started to get used of the life there, making new friends around. It goes to the same as me too.

Hostel Life 3

We were still in our orientation week and today was the first day everyone in college t-shirt. Finally whole class looks more neat and nice with the same shirt. Lesson not yet start, just briefing and introduction for us about the college, semester and exam stuff.

We got a gift from our senior for welcoming us to the college to study. It's a pen actually, with a cute character on top. Thank you senior. Looking forward to join the welcoming party this Thursday.

Alright, the photos below were the place where we iron and dry our clothes. Suppose to show it out on the previous post but didn't get to capture the photos. Anyway, the covered balcony I didn't capture because there was a little not so convenient to do so.

I get to know more new friends today, hope to join in with everyone soon. But I think it needs more time because my class was a big class if compare with my classes in secondary school. I might not going home that frequent since I slowly get used to the hostel. Soon the study starts, everyone will gets busy, including me.

Hostel Life 2

The second day since I stepped in. Basically the seniors were very nice to us especially last night, suddenly met so many people in the hostel because usually when we stepped out from the room, you will see no one around the compound. They taught us bed making and roll call. And I get to meet my neighbour after a day long we didn't see anyone there. It's good to meet them up and recognise them.

I am very steam last night. I set my alarm clock but I didn't press the button up, so it cannot wake me up this morning. Luckily I got my phone alarm with me. Luckily it wasn't too hot at night, manage to sleep without using blanket. My friends got the room behind me, cooler weather till blanket is needed. =.=

My breakfast was really healthy but the portion seems to be a bit too little. One piece of bread, one fully-boiled egg and a cup of milo. I think it was the first time to eat that less in early morning and after a while I felt hungry already. Haha. Can keep fit.

We got half day class in Saturday. Today was briefing of rules and regulation, used up 2 hours on it. I could see everyone was boring and nearly fall asleep in the class. Haha. Tomorrow no class, planned to go out with friends. Hmmm.

Currently at home but I have nothing to do. The benefits going back to home was you got your own bed, internet and cooler weather. Might be going back hostel earlier to join my friends.

Hostel Life 1

It was the first day of July and I was moving to hostel for my diploma course. I reached there at almost 8am and went for register. Seniors helped us to carry our stuff and brought us to the room. My roommate was staying in Penang too.

Alright, just a simple room for us. Two beds, tables and closets per room. A shared toilet, dressing table and fan for us. My room faced building and sun, which means the room will be hotter if compared to those behind. All clothes should be dry at the balcony upstairs. And we have to share a covered balcony with whole block of students if we are not drying clothes at the open area up there.

I am quite tired today, just feel like sleeping. I think I am lacked of sleep and the briefing was kind of boring. And those briefing will last for a week. Tutor told us that the tough life will begins on the second week. Rules were quite strict but I guess should be okay after get used of it.

My class was Group 45 under Year 1 Semester 1. We got 51 student nurses in a class and only 5 out of them were male, another 46 were female. Wow. Sounds good for a male to take up nursing course huh. Haha. The majority was Chinese, followed by Indian and Malay.

First day was so far so good, recognised new friends there. Just mixed and talk including the seniors. We don't know what to do at night because we don't have laptop, we don't have wifi, we don't have book and what we can do is sleep early I guess. Haha.

Just a short update about my new life, will be back to hostel soon.

I'm Ready

Time really flies. I had been enjoying my 6 months long holiday and now I am getting ready for college. Not to say fully enjoy the 6 months because I used most of the time to work, for about 4 months. I will miss my colleagues a lot.

Well, nervous for the coming of tomorrow? To be honest, not really. I'm rather more on excited. Haha. I am going to stay in new environment, start my study, face challenges, make new friends... Finally can start study since everyone around me already started theirs long time ago.

And stop asking where I am going to study and why I have to move in hostel. I am going to start my study at Lam Wah Ee Nursing College, will be staying in the hostel from tomorrow morning onwards, for 3 years till I end my diploma course. It's a compulsory to stay in hostel no matter how near my house to the hostel.

It gonna be a brand new month. I'm ready to face my new life. College life begins and I will fight for my future. Will update more about the life there soon.

Bridal Photography Exhibition (Bripex)

This event was held 2 months back and I only done editing, putting on watermark yesterday. Why? Because previously my laptop was sent to service and I accumulated several events photos. And thinking on editing, just Bripex this event already 500+ photos, and I'm very lazy.

Since I resigned my job, waiting for schooling, I have to squeeze some time out to get this thing done. And finally, I bet down my laziness and here it is. Cut the crap and let the photos talk.

I just simply not so like the lighting there. And there was lots of photographer. I have to squeeze in the crowds and when I wanted to zoom in, I just realised that my lens wasn't long enough to reach that length. Damn. So frustrated of that. But I still satisfied on some photos.

I was suppose to fetch Ah Poh and her boyfriend at 12:45pm. But when I woke up from nap, it was almost 1pm. Gosh! I jumped up from my bed, grabbed my bag and went out. Luckily not yet time for school dismissal and the area around Heng Ee High School wasn't traffic jam.

We reached Gurney and met up with Ah Yung. Then we went to buy movie ticket. I used my expired student card to buy the ticket, at first they don't allow but they said if I'm caught for that, then I won't be allowed to watch the movie. I don't care and I don't believe I will be that unlucky since no one will check whether are you a student or not.

A very funny movie and I'm not regret on watching this movie. Even though some said it was bad but I felt it was okay, can consider as nice. Will recommend to my colleagues about it. Haha. Well, our main plan of today was sing karaoke. After movie, we booked Redbox at 4pm.

Then we went for food later on. We have no idea where to go and decided to go Kim Gary Restaurant, wanted to try the special meal during the lunch time at weekdays. Thought we will finish our meal in half hour but we failed. Haha.

We were late for half an hour but we don't care. There will definitely got room for us because we didn't crowds in Gurney neither Redbox. Checked in and they allowed us to sing till 8pm, 3 and a half hours. And they gave us extra an hour because I have the DotRed member card.

We sang till very tired and voiceless. We picked till don't know what song to pick and guess what. We picked children songs. When Ah Poh was singing happily, the staff came in and asked for bill. He was a little stunned and we felt so embarrassing. We felt that we were old and outdated because the songs already been edited, different with those in last time.

We went back at 9 something, dropped Ah Poh and his boyfriend back. A seriously happy day with them. This was the first hang out with them and I'm not sure when will be the next time. Everyone will be busy on studies including me. So nice to recognise them during my working moment.

Working Diary 39

Today was my last day of working. I suppose to work till Tuesday but I decided to leave earlier. I want to have more time on personal stuff instead of keep on working everyday.

The day passed normally today. I worked for half day today and it was the end. It seems like spreading the news I am leaving today. Wherever I go, my colleagues will asked me about it. Something funny happened was the bartenders were having drinking kiwi jam juice competition. The drinks taste okay but if drank a lot, it might be disgusting.

I could see everyone was happy when I treated them KFC yesterday. The reason I treated them were I will be leaving today and I did said I want to treat them for the previous leave, but I didn't. And I was back again 2 months later. So I treat it this time because I knew I won't be going back to work anymore.

We were separating into different path. You guys gotta work hard there and I will be fighting for my future. Hope to keep in touch with you guys and will pay a visit if I am free.

Everyone I recognised there was my first batch colleagues because there was my first working place ever in my life. The first few days I was there were like stranger, I don't even recognise anyone and everyone was busy working due to school holiday. Slowly I joined them for supper and sooner I managed to mix in the group. This was what made me felt happy. Although there was some new faces when I went back but within days, we already mixed into a group, like close friends. How nice was that huh. I never regret on going there to work although it was a little tired sometimes. The wonderful things were we built up friendship and had fun during work. You guys were awesome colleagues.

Never disallow children to work during holiday because once they worked, they knew how hard to earn money, they will spend wisely and they will discover that actually study might be better than working for most of the time. But working do learn things that cannot learn from study. Haha.

Class Gathering

I planned this gathering at the beginning of the month and it was the day on yesterday. We supposed to wear class t-shirt but Kok Jing told me he can't found it and Bernard said he can't wear it. I thought no one will be wearing it, at last I didn't wear it but turned out some of them wearing.

We met at Queenbay at around 2pm. I met up with Kok Jing and Jinn Chyn, then Yeh Sheng and Pei Zhi came later. All of us were waiting for Lee Quan because he was fetching others. Since they not yet eat their lunch, we went for food while waiting them.

I went to met up my colleague, Ah Han after our meal. He was lost in Queensbay, this was really funny. I was laughing while I saw his message. Alright, as I planned, we went for the Thai horror movie - Ladda Land. Jinn Chyn didn't join us because of having basketball competition later.

Thai movie really different, this was what we called horror. I did got scared but now screaming. Yi Wen was beside me, screaming and hiding with jacket. And I was there laughing. Haha. I know I am bad. But the ending part was touching and I like the song.

After movie, Pei Zhi, Yeh Sheng and Ah Han went back. But Tze Ern, Wei Qing and Bernard joined us for dinner. We headed to Krystal Point later on, having dinner at Caffe De Strada.

I like the atmosphere there, very nice and suitable for couple having meal or friends to gather there. But we seems to be there to spoil the atmosphere because we talked till quite noisy. The waitress was in a little trouble because 11 of us wanted to order at the same time. And she have to walk around if not cannot hear what we said.

We ate, we talked, we joked, we laughed... I really very miss this moment when everyone gathered together. Not to say that night wasn't fun but just the feeling was different. Secondary school life was just so awesome. We never feel this way till the moment faded. We wished to go back to 5S2 and have fun like how we did last year.

After we finished the foods, everyone still sitting there and chat. And when I mentioned about dessert, everyone went for it at the same time. A big group of people surrounded the ice-cream corner. When there is no one, none of them going to take. When I mentioned, everyone go for it, packed like a sardin there. Aren't they funny?

We continue to chat till the shop close at almost 12 midnight. We shared the jokes, funny stuff and laughed like the cafe is ours. Haha. Xin Wei called Tze Ern and we take turns to talk on phone with her. And she ended up got played by Marcus and Wei Pin. They mimic the voice of others and everyone around laughed, especially on Lee Quan's favourite quote - "hew".

I planned this class gathering because I am going to move in hostel and my time might be controlled by the college authorities. I don't know when will be the next time we meet and when will be the next gathering. I know you guys missed the apartment stay a lot, so do I. I will plan for it if I am free at the end of year.

A nice day with you guys, we shared a lot, updated news happened around since everyone was separated now. 5S2, the best class that I ever studied. =)

McDonald Coca-Cola Can Glasses

Finally all the 6 colour coca-cola can glasses were collected finish by today. Previously my brother missed the purple one and I can't get it from any of my friend. I'm lucky enough to get it back when the staff gave me the chance to choose the colour. I took the purple one first because the green one was the latest which can get it later on. And after that I just knew that McDonald had increased the production of the can glasses.

My mum already arranged in the cupboard. I think sooner the cupboard will be filled up by decoration stuff instead of books because brother will end his secondary school next year. All the books will be sent to recycle since no one will be using it.

After the busy working day for the Father's Day promotion, I back to work on Monday. Luckily I only work half day just to get used of the new menu. I was thinking to have a rest before the night party but I ended up online. And I am quite tired at that night.

It was a party and gathering for all the Youth Jam'11 youth leaders. I fetched Evelyn and headed to Penang Times Square. Lucky us didn't really meet any traffic jam except at SMK Sri Mutiara there.

Char bee hoon and orange juice were served only, kinda disappointed on it. But still okay since we were there to gathering and meet everyone. SOJU's boss wanted to sponsor us alcoholic drinks but most of them were still underage. Too bad.

It was just a normal party that night. The main purpose was to gather everyone here after 2 weeks Youth Jam'11 ended and distribute the portfolio and certificate for every youth leader. I just took a few photos which can't satisfy me because I don't have the speedlite, cannot take good photos, might as well don't take. All photos above were taken from John Shen.

I will join in as a photographer if I have chance to join it next year. Gotta confirm my study schedule first. Anyway, it was really nice to meet you guys and cooperate together to make a big event goes on smoothly. Make a better one for Youth Jam'12. =)

Working Diary 38

It was Father's Day and I have to work because Kim Gary Restaurant was having promotion. With the Father's Day voucher, the total bill of maximum 6 people will have 50% discount.

Everyone reached there before 10:30am and had our meal before 11am. People already started to queue when we were having our meal. At sharp 11am, the business started and everyone became busy. I was phobia to hot plate because whenever I deliver the food, several hot plates waiting for me.

We broke the record because the queue reached Roti Boy. Last time the longest queue was shorter than this time for almost a distance of a pole with Roti Boy. Manager even went in kitchen to help them. And I broke plates for twice. Once was in front of the bar and all the customers in the restaurant looked at me.

We were almost half dead when finished our work at 11:30pm. More than 12 hours of work. And we still have to change all the menu, preparing for the new dishes that started on Monday. Almost everyone went back at 12:30am and back to work on the next day. Tired.

I was asked by Lau Seng to go Redbox after work with colleagues for his birthday celebration. I was given a job by others to get him a birthday cake because I was allowed to finish my work at 4.30pm. Get my job done and went back home for rest.

I went to fetch Ah Yung from her hostel at around 11pm and headed to 1st Avenue Redbox after that. We went in and sang songs first while waiting for others. Luckily we sang first because the songs they picked, we not really so good in it.

We requested to change to a bigger room since we felt it was a little pack in the previous room. The new room looks better a lot and everyone can sit on bigger space and enjoy singing. I got a VIP room for 10 people before but not for this time although it was 10 people.

The staff brought the cake in but the main character was out to take food. So we replay it again after he came back. We sang, I think we shouted more than sang birthday song with the lighted candle on the cake. Capture some photos, made a wish, blew off the candle and cut the cake. Woohoo~ Growing older by one year.

After cake cutting, pieces of cake was given. Everyone can get one piece only. Haha. Then we continue to sing. We got shocked by Ah Jing's vocal and laughed out loud of that. He sang the high vocal song with sudden, everyone was shocked and one of the colleague from Gurney almosIt was way too funny with his singing pattern.

Everyone was amazed by Ah Yung's voice because she really can sing well. Her high vocal was just too nice. We might get shocked once a while just because of the high vocal. It was high, accurate and nice, PERFECT.

I dropped Ah Yung back hostel and I went back home. I reached home at around 3am. Gosh! I think this was the latest time I reached home ever and I didn't get any phone call from parents to chase me back home. I rarely have this in future after I stay in hostel. Anyway, I enjoyed a lot that night, we joked and laughed.

Busy Day

It was my off day and planned to hang out with Susan. We went to Prangin Mall for our lunch first because we didn't even eat at the time of 2pm. Traffic jam at the town area. I was trying to order the one Yi Wen ate last time when we went there but I think I ordered the wrong one. The tomyam at there was spicy and sour, I like. Haha.

After lunch, we went around to shop. I have to get myself ready for the schooling stuff. And I got a phone call from Ivy. I was asked to fetch her to clinic. I dropped Susan back and fetched her out. After clinic, I rushed back home, met up with my aunt to go for massage. After massage, I followed my family for dinner. I went out after dinner with friends for movie.

A not-so-bad movie. I managed to watch till the end without sleeping even though I was very tired and sleepy that night. Never even stop and rest since I went out from afternoon till midnight. I directly off to bed after reached home. Home sweet home. =)

Youth Jam'11 - Day 2

It was the second day of Youth Jam'11. I reached Penang Times Square at around 10am. Why? Because I was tired and I need more sleep. Then I went off to fetch Evelyn before I go there.

Not really many events in the morning, everyone was getting ready for the treasure hunt session. We went to the stage area to shoot some photos. Warming up, collecting goodies bags and registration for the treasure hunt. Although it rained a while but it doesn't affect participants from joining the event.

Fly FM deejays were there to give out badge and goodies bags while waiting for the treasure hunt begins. I managed to grab myself a badge but I missed out another design one. Sad...

The participants ran around like a mad in the mall and the photographers have to run together with them to take photos. The problem was we don't know where is the station, have to walk around to find out by ourselves. And at the first session, photographers were caught by participants to look for answer but in fact, we don't know a single thing about the game.

After tired of running around, I stayed at the first floor, waiting for the dance competition. It was a great one. Wow. Luckily I stayed there instead of continue running around. I bet I will miss out a lot if I went off. Wakaka Crew was there as judges for the competition. And not to forget showing their dancing skills there. AwesoNice dance from everyone.

After the dance competition, I back to the treasure hunt session. Walking around to find station and capture some photos of participants while they were taking part in certain station. Everyone turned out to be wet in the end because one of the station have to complete at the fountain.

A chinese orchestra performance from the teenagers was carried out in the evening. One word to describe it - N.I.C.E.

After the performance, it was the final for Youth Talent Search. Everyone was so looking forward for the final. The teams' supporters were there supporting their friends. Everyone was very hyper. And the canopy was full, can't even cover all the supporters.

I went back after this session, can't even wait for the result announcement for Youth Talent Search because I was too tired, eyes gonna close up soon and have to drop Evelyn back.

The first time I joined this event and it was awesome. I like the night session more. It was so alike to concert because there were performances from participants and bands. Wow. Seriously enjoy it a lot. A great experience as a photographer too.

As I mentioned I was one of the photographer for the Youth Jam'11 event. I reached Penang Times Square at 7 something in the morning. So sleepy because I slept late the night before that.

I was assigned to cover certain event but ended up I was walking around to various events. Nothing much in the morning, I don't see crowd at that time. Cheer leaders were having training at the stage area.

After that I was given a job. Taking 3 pieces of card with the word - "Saya", "♥" and "Cyber-shot". I have to walk around, ask people to take and I capture the photo of them. Looks so funny and mostly people rejected me. But still, got people willing to help me and posing with funny pose.

After staying a while at the cosplay area, I went down to the place somewhere near the fountain, waiting for the lion dance. It was really challenging my photographing skill because the sun came with very bright sunlight then later covered by cloud. I kept on changing my setting with the change of weather.

After that I went to accompany Ivy for lunch and I went off later on. We went to Queensbay, paying a visit to colleagues there first then we go for shopping. And we only realised that it was double pay on that day and we were having our off day. Nevermind, I don't mind that.

We went to Neway for karaoke after long time since the last time I went. Then we went to Sri Nibong for our favourite - tomyam noodles. I dropped her back to hostel after that and I joined the team, continue as a photographer.

It was the semi-final for the Youth Talent Search when I went back. It was like having concert, watching and listening to the participants' performance. Nothing much to elaborate, let the photos talk.

A very tiring day for me. Seems like the first time I went out for 16 hours, having nonstop activities with me. But I enjoy a lot in photography. Too bad I went off in between, not really many photos I captured.

Working Diary 38

It should be a very nice working day but I ended up hurting my toe. I was trying to staple the thick paper into a book. And I don't have the energy to get the staple pass through all the paper. I tried to jump up and hoping I manage to staple it. But I got back onto the ground, I accidentally sprained my toe. It directly swell after a while, very obvious one. I can't even walk properly.

The scary thing was the toe turned black on the next day. Seems like got a serious bruise on it. Not really can walk and bend my toe. I went to massage for twice but just getting better. It was like quite hard for me to wear slippers.

It still cannot fully recover today. I can bend my toe without pain but the toe still having bruise and swelling. Boo... Can the recovery comes faster? Hmmm.

I never thought that the day was Dumpling's Day till I saw those status posted by friends in Facebook. Days without schooling were like knowing nothing. Not even the date, days and holidays. Still, Facebook is a good thing to remind people of something special. Haha.

But I didn't get to eat dumpling a.k.a. bak zhang on that day. Bak zhang had been my favourite all the time. I used to get myself that sometimes as my breakfast during my secondary schooling life.

Had been busy working till I got to eat it on my off day. How pity I am... Haha. Anyway, it doesn't taste so good like the one I used to eat usually. Anyway, late wishes here. =)

Smiley Face

There is always lots of hurt and tear behind a smile. Never show them out because smile had been used to cover everything up. And it let others thought that he/she is fine and happy.

Life got the ups and downs, success and failure. Not the first time but from different person. I'm still fine, I guess, feeling better. Trying to do other stuff, don't think too much to cheer myself up.

Working Diary 37

It seems like had been long time since I write about my working stuff here.

June was like a season for us to fall sick recently. I got headache because staying up late and lack of rest too often. Luckily I am okay on another day with panadol. Working with sickness is really suffering. I still remembered I get myself two days m/c because of fever after I work while I was having headache.

My working time was flexible because they might cut my time down when there was only a few customer. Sometimes when I want to work, they asked me go back home. Or maybe when I am not in the mood, they asked me to stay. For once, I thought working will anesthesia the feeling in my heart but actually it won't. I will still keep on thinking about it. It hurts...

I think after I fell down at the entrance 5 months ago, none of the staff in the restaurant fall down before. And yesterday, Ivy was cashier and wanted to step on the board on the floor. Jing Jing kicked off the board without Ivy's notice. Ivy fell and Jing Jing trying to hold her but ended up both fell together. Both of them shouted and laughed, all the customers were looking at cashier wondering what was happening. Luckily there was a door at cashier counter and Alice was blocking, if not I think Ivy might fall out from the counter. Later followed by Alice who slipped off and fell on floor. Guess it might hurts a lot because I got that before.

Funny thing happened today and we laughed till our ass off. I was actually settling the take away foods at the kitchen door with Susan. And we were waiting for the sauce to be packed that had been left out. But a sudden loud sneeze by Ah Jing who just stand beside Susan filled up the whole kitchen. Everyone in kitchen and bar got shocked and laughed, including me and Susan. We just couldn't stop laughing and Susan even laugh till squatting there with tears scrolling around the eyes. Laughing from kitchen to cashier counter till we stomachache. Seriously, it was funny.

Working with this group of colleagues, funny things might not happen as frequent as before but still consider fun. Looking at the calender, I just realised that left 9 days for me to work together with my colleagues. I started to countdown for my leave, again. =S

Short Update

I knew my blog is dead. I will be back clearing the spider webs, mushroom or whatsoever here. I was busy working, preparing for study stuff and went for Youth Jam as a photographer. Days had been packed with so many activities.

For the past 2 days, I was so exhausted. I slept only 4 hours and I woke up early to Penang Times Square for Youth Jam. I had been out from house for 16 hours. And continue with 13 hours in the event on the second day with only after around 6 hours of rest.

Good news was I had finished sorting out the photos and put up my watermark out from thousand over photos. I had uploaded those photos to my facebook and I will be posting up the photos here and blog about it soon.

I should be posting up long time ago and I delayed it again. Haha. It was a group portrait photoshooting, my first time having such outing. It was carried out at Penang Botanical Garden in the morning till noon. Everyone was sweating due to the weather.

A nice experience I got on that day. They were a group of great friend that could cooperate with the photographers. And I made new friends there, no matter the models or photographers. Awesome!

Back to memory lane : 14 May 2011

This post should be written 2 weeks ago but I kept on delaying it till now. I'm just too lazy to update my blog every time online after back from work, sometimes is very tiring, not purposely don't want to update it. Haha. I got lots of excuse.

Alright, back to topic. It's all about BarCamp Penang. According to the list, suppose to have many participants but not as many as the list come and join us. I joined BarCamp as a participant but turned out to be a volunteer photographer at the end. Anyway, I still joined some topics.

After the short briefing, everyone started to go room respectively according to the topic they wanted to attend. Every talk lasted for 45 minutes and the topic and speaker changed with the schedule stated on the notice board.

The good thing was speakers shared their experience to everyone and the participants listen with full attention. Switching room is allowed if they felt the topic they were joining wasn't suitable for them. Some speakers joined the talk as participants when they weren't in-charge of the talk. Everyone takes turn.

A group photo was taken as a memory to end this event. Too bad quite a number of participant went back instead of staying down till the event ended.

Basically it's consider okay, maybe the topics do not suit me and I felt boring of that. It was more about adult's stuff and I'm still a teenager, can't catch the point. I guessed they learnt new knowledge that day. Anyway, I enjoyed being a volunteer photographer. =)

After the previous talent search at Penang KDU College, another same event had been carried out at 1st Avenue Redbox. The participants turned out to be a lot compared to the previous one. Some personal musical band participated and they came with their own instruments. Wow. Very yeng!

The funniest performance was from the yellow shirt guy above. He sang "Nobody" with dance and everyone in the room was laughing all the way, from the very beginning till the end. Even the photographers' hands also shivering because it was very funny.

A Day Out With Alice & Susan

I was on my off day yesterday because I have to attend the meeting. But I was told I'm in different team with them and no need to attend, so I asked Alice and Susan out since they were in their off day too. And I was told that there was a meeting in the afternoon, I was "WTF?", keep on changing, I directly didn't consider of going and went out with friends.

I went to fetch Susan first and pick up Alice later on. We reached and waited for Alice. She didn't answer my calls and she phoned back to me, telling us that she was still in the house, will be running out in 5 minutes time. We waited and waited, we finally saw her after about 20 minutes. Lol.

Then we headed to 1st Avenue and went to Kim Gary Restaurant for lunch. People will say we are insane, working at Kim Gary Restaurant and off day still go there eat. We keep on disturbing colleagues, trying to talk and joke with them. Haha.

I just roughly named the foods because I don't really know the English name of the foods. Haha. We faced these foods everyday while working and we still order it because we are not allowed to eat baked foods or hot plate as staff's meal. The most funny thing was they almost finish whole bottle of cheese powder. Eww~ We were very full after finished eating and went over to the cafe to bought fried rice for colleagues.

Later we accompanied Susan to get herself a Dzi bracelet upstairs. I think I will get myself one soon with my own wage because it was a blessing for whole life time, I hope everything will go on smoothly after I leave my home and step in college. It looks nice with bracelet on Susan's wrist. Not to forget, snap some photos of us since I didn't have photo with them except the annual dinner with Susan last time.

Alice left us earlier because she have to attend dinner at night. Susan and I went around for shopping and we almost broke. We got ourselves a drink and went back later on. The night was still young.

It was so nice to go out with them, full of fun. Haha. Hope we have next time before I go for college and Alice go for university. =D

Charity Fund Raising Party

Approximately 1 month ago, I was invited by my dad's friend who was known as my sister to a charity fund raising party as the official photographer. Actually I am quite nervous of that because I am still a beginner in DSLR and I scare I cannot produce photos with good quality. But after all, still okay I think. Hmmm.

I reached Marina Bay quite early as I thought they will be there since they told me so. But they still not yet reach and busy of the preparation. Luckily the other teammates were there. I went around to snap photos first while waiting for them.

After dinner, they gave out some stuffs like story books, stationery, foods and cheque to the representative of Shan Children's Home. Then it was followed by lucky draw session and fund raising by collecting donation on the spot from people.

I joined Youth Jam as a volunteer photographer and I was there for the Youth Talent Search at Penang KDU college. It was my first event after I joined the team. Too bad the participants didn't turn out to be many, just a few of them joined.

Working Diary 36

As a part time staff, I almost work like a full time staff. Sometimes I kinda lazy to wake up earlier just because of work. This team had lack of spirit. I want back last time that team so badly.

Although I was with trainee name tag but to most of them, I am no longer a trainee. The new colleagues still need lots of training. I really can faint anytime if working together with them because they didn't really help much. They need strict training seriously like how I was trained last time.

To be honest, I am not that happy that I was assigned the same work every day during night time. There were so many people, why must I work the same thing. It wasn't because I don't know about others' job but why me again and again. Even the same job given to me, at least let me concentrate on it instead of asking me to do so many things in a time without anyone help. I am normal human with two hands, not superman. Arggh.

After work, I followed Ah Haw and Ivy for supper. It was my first time going out for supper with colleagues since I back to work in May. No more crowded people went for supper and talk funny things like how we always did after work last time.

I went home after supper, around 11.30pm, no more reaching home after 12am during working day. Haha. After working for some time, now I wanted to back to study. Study might be tired sometimes but not as tired as working.

As I said I had back to work for like one and an half month since May. 2 months time, nothing much changed I think. Same style of taking photo with same uniform and same smile, only hair style looks different and I think I became fatter like what they said.

It's 20th of May today and in Mandarin, month comes first before day. So in short form it turned into 520 which mean I Love You in Mandarin that have alike vocal as 我爱你 if the number is read in Mandarin.

It will turned out to be I Love You Forever at the time of 1.14pm. Because 1.14pm was 13.14 in 24-hour time format. In short, it was 5201314 a.k.a 我爱你一生一世. Did passed this day with someone once 4 years ago. The first time and the last time till now.

Happy 520 to everyone no matter you are single or in a relationship. Enjoy the day happily.

July Intake

I went for my first medical check up ever in my life. A must for everyone before going in for the course and it was free of charge. First time went for blood test. Looking at the syringe poke into my hand and seeing the blood flowing slowly out till the syringe filled up with blood. People said I'm insane and disgusting but I think it was still okay. =.=

One of the report occurred some problem causes the signing agreement delayed. Sorry for wasting others' time. I didn't really meant it. Good news was the retake test took after a week later passed, and I'm officially in for the course. =)

Going in the hostel on the first day of July. I will try to update my life there if there is internet provided, if not might get a broadband, will decide it after that. 41 days to go.

Laptop Is Back

Finally my laptop had came back from service after 3 weeks time. That stupid company took for weeks and didn't even repair it till my dad went to the company and complain about it. Within days, they settled it for me. Bad service they had.

Anyway, the good thing is my laptop is okay and I can transfer my photos to upload to Facebook after been asked from friend again and again. And one more thing, I will back blogging as usual if I'm not tired of working. Haha. Stay tuned.

The Half-Price Frappuccino

As I said, I will grab a drinks from Starbucks and I really got myself one, even met Fu Shen there too. I went out earlier, thinking to go for shopping a while but at last I decided to sit down at the seat, drinking the frappuccino. Not really long queue for that because don't really see people around the mall.

After my drinks, directly went down for work. No customer, even there was, only a few tables. One word - bored. I am kinda looking forward to this coming Sunday which was Mother's Day and customers will get 50% discount they got the voucher.

I took the 5-S test yesterday and I passed with full mark. I never thought that I had good memory because I only looked through it yesterday and memorised it right on the spot. And I took the test on the same day. But now, I don't really remember every words. =.=

Western Food For Dinner

I decided to continue blogging instead of leaving my blog to rot. Blog post which needed photos from DSLR will not be updating recently. I don't know when will I get back my laptop, the people in-charged couldn't give me an answer. I am just so unsatisfied with it. Damn.

Alright, back to topic. I got myself almost 20 missed call in the morning from Chee Kuan. Actually I supposed going to school to apply something but due to tiredness, I continue to sleep after my breakfast. Once I got the call after I woke up, I directly go for bath. And they came right after I done everything.

We went to have lunch with Dr. Ooi as a farewell at Sungai Ara. Had a great talk and lunch there. After lunch, they decided to go Queensbay for movie. We watched The Lost Bladesman and almost fell asleep in the cinema. Haha.

After movie, Jinn Chyn left us to join his friends. We went for dinner at Tanjung Bungah with the recommendation from Zheng Xian since we don't want to have our meal in Queensbay. We went to get western food for dinner. The restaurant was so packed and we have to wait with hunger.

Away From Blog

Won't be updating blog for a few days because I sent my laptop to service and yet it still not yet okay. I don't know when I will get it back, still waiting for the call from the shop. Arghh. Days without laptop are so troublesome.

Anyway, I back to work. Back to the old place, Kim Gary Restaurant. New faces everywhere, have to get to know them. This time I looked a bit different with hair tied up. And colleagues said that I became fatter. Days with only eat and sleep for sure will fat. =.=

It won't be a long post but just sharing some photos up here from the event I joined few days ago. Finally I am here to post it up today.

This fashion show was continued after the end of Vogue For Virtue Model Search Grand Finale at Queensbay Mall. The first fashion show was from Jefferson with the male models.

Later coming up was fashion show from Material with the female models. All the events ended at around 6pm.

3 events in a day. And it was my first photoshooting on models. I personally felt that those photos weren't good enough. In fact, it wasn't good, will improve on it next time.

I went out with Zi Qin in the afternoon to Tesco to get some snacks for the party at night. Then we headed to Queensbay Mall for a movie. We met Daniel and his gang of friends there who were heading to the party later on too. Went for a walk before the movie starts. The movie we watched was The Chinese Ghost Story.

The movie wasn't too bad, consider okay. We met Amber Chia in the toilet. I can't recognise her but just random guess by saying "Amber Chia ar?" when Zi Qin pointed at her. I went down to meet up my new friend, John Shen at the Vogue For Virtue Charity Show. There were some celebrities there which I missed out to photoshoot because of the party.

Staying over to take a look on the show for a while then we headed to Joey's house. Lucky us didn't meet any traffic jam, the traffic was so smooth till we reached. There was already many friends in her house while we reached. Karaoke and Wii for us.

While the foods were ready, it's time to eat. Buffet dinner party for us instead of barbecue or steamboat. Without appetite to eat, I ate a little only although I skipped my lunch. After dinner, my favourite, taking camera and capture around.

The purposes of holding this party were to celebrate the straight A's scorer in SPM, Joey and to gather her family, relatives and friends together. It was a very nice party when we get to attend this small gathering after graduated from secondary school. We enjoyed a lot!

Lunch & Movie With The Guys

I received a phone call from Chee Kuan last night, asking me to hang out today. Alright, I have nothing to do and just go with him and Yoon Wei. After my breakfast, I almost well-prepared, waiting him to come and fetch me. Ended up got phone call from Yoon Wei said he didn't reply or pick up the phones.

Confirmed, he not yet wake up. Yoon Wei went to his house and woke him up. Waited them for another 45 minutes, they reached, fetched me up and headed to Gurney. Got teased by me once I was in the car. Haha.

We went up to cinema to buy movie tickets first. After long consideration and investigation on several movies, finally a decision is made - Just Go With It. Then went down to search for foods. Again, we walked around, passed restaurant by restaurant, discuss the menu, compare the price and at last we decided.

The foods taste not bad except the soup. We have too much free time while waiting for movie. Sat in the restaurant and chatted but it had been long time we were there. We decided to go somewhere else instead of sitting there. We ended up went to Popular to read books at the kids' corner but not reading kids' books. Almost one hour there and we were sleepy cause reading books. Went up to cinema for movie later on.

A not really bad movie, at least better than the one I watched previously. We went back right after movie because they have to go to work. Thanks to Chee Kuan for dropping me back home. They still the best friends to join with, no gap but full of fun and jokes. =)

Steamboat - Shopping - Movie

Ivy asked me out since she was having her off day today. After long considering, we went to Prangin Mall for steamboat instead of Queensbay Mall because she usually will go Queensbay Mall. We supposed to be there at 1 something but I have something to do with me, delayed till 2 something.

The food amount wasn't too much neither too little, we managed to finish all. And it costs around RM 18 per person. We went for shopping after that. I got myself a shirt there. We walk over to 1st Avenue for movie through the interlink bridge. We got a drinks from Cup-Bon after we bought movie tickets.

Then, we went to Kim Gary Restaurant because we have nothing else to do. We got ourselves a warm water and a free meal. Then we chatted and joked with the colleagues who were having the meals there. We seems disturbing them more and done lots of crazy, funny things.

When it was around movie time, we went up directly to 8th floor using lift. We watched Chase Our Love. Bought couple seat because the price was RM 1 more than the normal seat. Two girls sitting couple seat like sitting sofa. Haha. Not so fun because few people in the whole cinema only.

This movie was just normal one, nothing special. It was specified that it belongs to comedy but I can't find what so funny in the movie. We go for it because it was comedy but it turned out not to be comedy. After movie, we went back without dinner because we were still full.

I finally felt tiredness in my day. Usually I can't sleep in the night because I still so energetic even though I went for jogging or swimming. It was the boredom of being a vagrant but I will miss this lifestyle once I start studying soon. What people want are always so self-contradictory.

Swimming, I Like

Since my swimming lessons ended, I didn't go for swimming and it had been already 2 weeks. I decided to back to swimming pool today before I forget how to swim and also to get something to do during my free time.

At first I was phobia to water. The phobia started because I slipped off to the deeper part of the pool in the water world in Malacca when I was small, for about primary school time. I still remember I was struggling for help, luckily friend's mum beside me. She hold me and gave me a float. The phobia was cure after I learn how to swim but still a little to deep water.

Back to topic. I was warming up by swimming short distance. I saw my coach there. He asked why I didn't swim to the back which was 1.8m. Actually I was a little scare, I scare I will accidentally drink the water and started to panic and drop in the water.

At last I decided to swim because everyone was swimming vertically till the end. It is impossible to cut people's lane by swimming horizontally. Bare in mind with my coach's advice, swim slowly and don't panic. And I successfully swam till the end without anyone guiding me beside. =)

I started to like swimming because once I was in the water, I felt that been isolated from everything. The only thing be with me was water. But one bad thing was I turned black even though I put on sunblock. Can I have indoor swimming pool? Haha.

I had learnt frog style. And now, I feel like learning freestyle. But I scare no time to train after I learnt it. I have 2 months free time left only before my course starts. Hmmm. Go for it or not?

Offer Letter

I was requested to take the offer letter from the office on Monday during office hour. I have to go for medical check up in the morning and sign agreement soon. But lessons won't start that soon. I will have to rot in the house for 2 months or maybe more.

Will be in the hostel in 1st of July if not mistaken. No worries, I will still in Penang for the 3 years of diploma course. I want to fly overseas too, like my brother. Don't look down on me neither my course. I will ~~try my best to~~ survive well in it, I hope too.

I was thinking to go back to work and requested by ex-colleagues since they were short of staff. But ... for a reason that I always went back home late and that was the main reason I was not allow to go back. So ... perhaps I have to forget it now. Arggh.

Close up the eyes and take a deep breathe...

Sometimes problem is still a problem. It is the way of my thinking or it is my personality? I can't get myself a way out yet. Bury everything not really solving problems but at least can feel better by not thinking it. If life of teenager/adult can like baby's, it should be nice, isn't it? No worries, no sadness.

A smile was built up by lots of tear. Sometimes smile was just like a mask that cover up the sadness.

Curious on why I said today was an important day for me? And curious on why I wanted people around to wish me good luck? Haha. Continue to read it.

It was my interview day for 3-years-diploma course in nursing. Alright, I knew there will be surprising reaction from everyone when they heard of it. Yes, I am going for nursing. I knew it will be a tough course but which course will be relax, right? Every course got the challenges.

Why I wanted this course so badly? It was because I only applied for one nursing college and it was the only one I preferred. I hope I manage to get the college. I must have to perform the best today to get it.

I reached there at around 1pm and I already saw quite a number of people there. Later, we were brought to a room for a half an hour test. I saw most of them wrote long essay with a full page or more while I just wrote 3 paragraphs which roughly half page.

Time's up. Papers were collected and we remain in the room for hours. 18 people in a room and only one guy there. I don't know what were we waiting for but just sitting there, reading magazine. After a while, names were started to be called. I am the fourth one. Went in for the interview with a little nervous feeling, normal Q&A section that have to speak in English.

Result will be told after interview. Guess what? I passed! 3 years diploma course for me. Waiting for medical check up and I will be there in July. =)

Meet The Dermatologist

Everyone had been commenting on my face regarding the acne and scars. It became more serious recently with obvious two big red spot on my cheek especially when taking photos. Dad asked me to go for specialist in the hospital by myself.

It was the first time I meet up the doctor alone. I went to Lam Wah Ee Hospital in the morning, pressed the machine to get myself the number. After waited a while, I was told to register to make appointment first and come back at 2.30pm. =.=

In the afternoon, I was late there but when I reached, the doctor not yet come back. Sitting there like a nerd waiting for the nurse to call me, took the number and wait again. One patience was like half an hour. I have been sitting there 2 hours, waiting for my turn but I came out after 5 minutes. WTF?

I was given the medicine list and asked to collect it at the pharmacy. Luckily I got enough money to pay if not I think it going to be a very embarrassing case. Finally I can go back home at around 5pm since I went out at 2.30pm.

Lee Quan's Farewell

Zi Qin and I went to TGV to watch a movie in the afternoon. Shopping for a while at Prangin Mall before movie starts, got myself a top. We met Mr Leong Xin Jian outside the cinema, seems like always get to see him wherever we go. Haha. We watched The Ghost Must Be Crazy.

I was laughing all the way but Zi Qin was scared, like not dare to watch the screen. Once a while, I used popcorn to throw at her. Haha. Next time I wanted to ask her to watch ghost movie. We headed to Lee Quan's house right after the movie. Steamboat and barbecue party together. We reached just later a little and we could see people around, not really many foods left to eat.

Again, 5S2 classmates were the noisiest group there, snatched the foods like hungry ghosts. It seems like a tradition in my class, no matter where we go, we still the same. Seriously, I didn't really eat there. Once I was holding the camera, I almost forgotten to eat and there wasn't enough foods prepared, most were finished before I reached. But wine and vodka left for us. A mix of vodka with cola taste not bad and I am not drunk, unlike Marcus. Haha. They complaint that not enough beer to drink if compared with my party last year.

The party wasn't mainly for eat and drink, the important thing was to gather together. So nice to gather together again. Yi Wen, Lee Quan and Cornelius will be leaving Penang to Kedah for further study on Monday. Uhmm. All the best and good luck. Study hard. Contact me if coming back to Penang, we will go yam cha.

A Day Back To School

It was Saturday and I asked some of the ex-librarians back to school to pay library a visit since they got co-curricular activity. We went in the committee room to have a chat with the committees. The first thing they said was our hair, longer than theirs. Haha.

Later on, we went to the music room at the new building. School Choir Club was having their singing competition there. The atmosphere there was scary enough, my shutter sound turned out to be very loud when the everyone in the room remained silent, listening to the participants sang.

The competition ended around 12 and we didn't wait for the prize giving ceremony. I went to Civil Defence Cadet's activity, take a look on the juniors' training. Ended up saw most of them resting, pressing phone, playing around. *shake head*

From the training, I can't see the spirit towards marching and the discipline of the team was worse. Members didn't obey the leader, and the leader can't control the members. Leaders couldn't even be a role model but fooling around. Those who participating competition can't even serious in training. I could learn up the basic in 3 months time and I don't know why some used years to learn but learn nothing. I don't know how will they perform well in the coming competition. By looking on their training, seriously, I felt so disappointed on them.

I went to deliver drama disc to Yi Wen but who knows she went out for movie. I met Lee Quan and Yi Wen up after their movie. I reached Island Plaza earlier than them and lucky thing was they saw me after I parked my car.

Yi Wen brought us there and it was my first time there. A nice looking shop, I like the environment. I got myself a cup with vanilla flavour and Yi Wen got herself the original flavour. It costs us around RM 15 per cup with own chosen toppings.

Basically, it wasn't too bad but the price was slightly too high. Anyway, still a good try. Mostly no next time, as if I turn rich one day or see who want to treat me. =)

Application For Course

Previously was told that I didn't pass up a copy of SPM result, so they can't write the testimonial. I have to meet up Vice Principal by waiting her for a few lessons time to get her approval and pass up to office. The long-waited testimonial finally had done and I just went to collect it at school office on Monday.

I suppose to pass my application letter on Monday but I kept on delay it because I forgotten that I didn't write my resume yet. And when I took paper and pen out, I felt so strange, especially when holding a pen to write. It had be 4 months since I write, now I couldn't write so smoothly.

I wrote the first time and felt my wordings were too ugly. I have to rewrite it till I satisfy with it. I never thought it turned out to be that worse. Haha. The most I experienced was about 2 months year end holidays that I didn't touch on the writing stuff. I think it will continue for a few months since my intake is on July.

I passed my application letter to the office. Now just waiting for their call to ask me for interview. Nothing much, just hope I can get in the course. Wish me good luck. =)

Harmonica Band Concert

Back to memory lane : 3 April 2011

I was invited to go to my school, I mean ex-school Harmonica Band Concert by Joey. Invited but no free ticket given to me, I paid my ticket by myself. Supposed to go for movie with Aaron before that but we were late, canceled the plan and went to Queensbay to meet up Lee Quan and Yi Wen for a walk there. They went back earlier and we got ourselves an early dinner at food court.

After our meal, we directly went to Dewan Sri Pinang because we scared can't get a place to park. But luckily, there was a place and I just dumped my car there. Not many people there since we were early. Met Wei Pin and Peik Yang at first who were that early too. I met up with Joey and Yuen Soon to get my ticket.

As usual, the concert started with Principal's speech and all sort of opening ceremony. Then followed by performance from the band. It was so surprise to see some ex-schoolmates still performing on the stage. But who cares, the most important thing was everyone up there performing well.

A 15 minutes break was given during the concert. Audiences went out to washroom while members of the band still preparing music instrument on stage. I shifted my place to become the couple's "light bulb". Haha.

After the break, the concert continued. They got a cute drummer and a cool drummer. A guy drummer supposed to be cool but he turned out to be a cute one. Haha. The cool drummer was a girl, I think she was the first drummer in the band if not mistaken.

The emcees announced that the concert was about to end but one of the audience shouted "encore" and everyone followed. The band's instructor came out and brought us a few songs, a surprise for everyone of us.

Although the hall wasn't fill up with audience but it was a great concert. I like and enjoyed it a lot there. I believe everyone does. All songs performed were nice and surely you guys put lots of effort in this concert. You guys had done a great job. Keep it up!

Photo Shooting At Straits Quay

Rain stopped in the afternoon and the sky turned sunny. I went out after my swimming lesson in the evening. The first time I brought my DSLR out for photo shooting since the weather was nice. I went to Straits Quay alone since my friends decided don't want to go out at last minute.

Snap, snap, snap... While I squatted down to snap photo, I saw someone looking at me. I can't see that person clearly neither her. She came nearer and nearer. Then both of us waving hands. Haha. She was Ruo Yun. Surprise to see her there because I thought she was at Kepala Batas.

Alright, my first time went to Straits Quay. I got myself a walk around there for half an hour and headed back after that because it was late already. Enjoy the photos, I hope they were still consider okay.

Daily Lifestyle

Nothing special or event happens recently. That's why no new post coming up here. My friends were busy studying and working. I was jobless and stay at home everyday. Life turned dull. Can someone colour up my life, please?

My life goes on by repeating the same thing everyday. I slept at early morning everyday, yeah, 2 am, ain't it early? Haha. And woke up at around 10 am for breakfast. If still feel sleepy after breakfast, back to bed again. Sleeping is only way to let time pass faster.

Once I have enough of sleep, I will start to get myself foods. 3 meals per day are important but sometimes I missed one meal out because I was still sleeping during lunch time. Luckily my house don't have many foods for me to eat if not I will gain my weight easily. I have to control, control my weight and ignore the temptation of foods for sometimes.

Online is a must for me to do daily because I have no idea what to do if I didn't switch on my laptop. Might get my blog updated and go for blog hopping. After online a while, I started to stare at the screen, no one online. What I do when I get too bored? Nothing else but eat and sleep.

Sometimes, I woke up early for swimming lesson. Swimming under morning sun was warm and nice. It won't be too hot. And sometimes, went for swimming lesson in the evening. Now, I turned darker with so-obvious-two-layers different skin colour and just realised that actually I was so fair. Haha.

I need to find something to do. Can the weather turn sunny for the days coming up? I want go out, walk around with my camera. And I miss the sun so much. It was so nice that today was a sunny day.

3 months to go before I start my course. Oh wait, I not yet even apply for it. Will be collecting testimonial tomorrow and start my application soon. And I almost forgotten about my resume. Hope everything will goes on smoothly and get into the course. =)

Dream Came True

I finally owned a DSLR after long-waited, like a dream came true. Alright, I am still a beginner, don't blame me for any photos with not-so-nice quality coming up here. Recently the rainy season made my outdoor shooting plan failed. No choice, only indoor shooting. I will make this post short, not really in a mood to elaborate. Why? Continue read it.

I supposed feeling happy for that but mum ruined everything by scolding me nonstop. She scolded me for wasting so much money on it. Once she saw me, she scolded once, purposely came in my room and nagged me again. Not talking to her for the whole afternoon, not my fault, she doesn't even want to look at me. I don't want ended up by I am screaming at her.

Why can't talk properly to me but started everything by scolding me after I told her the price? I just simply don't understand. They never know how much their words hurt. Never tell the truth to parents because everything will ends by getting scold. Just be a little fair to me. Don't scold me every time like I deserve to get scold. *deep and long sigh*

Friends consoled me but my mood still swinging. ~~Damn~~. Arggh. Cut the crap, stop grumbling, it was just ruining my mood. I should looking forward in learning photo shooting skills. Will try to control my mind, T-R-Y.

Yong Lik's Farewell

I always heard that classmates said Yong Lik will go to Japan to study throughout the whole year on last year. I thought they were joking, but actually it was serious one. Although Japan had occurred earthquake, tsunami and radiation spreading around, he still going with the reason he had paid for the course and the place he is going wasn't that serious.

A farewell held at his house tonight to have a small gathering of his friends before he leave at April. And 5S2 classmates turned out to be the majority. A big box of food was prepared by him, we did tried to finish it up but we failed to do so.

We enjoyed a lot, especially when Jiun Chong joined us together. We joked and gossiped nonstop. His imagination was really out of normal people's minds. All you can heard was Jiun Chong's voice and our laughter. And finally we saw Soon Yong after 5 months time didn't see him. Luckily he was okay, can walk back but still not yet fully recover.

Alright, back to topic. Let's the photos talk. Oh ya, thanks to Marcus for borrowing me his camera if not there won't be photos here. And thanks to Wei Pin for uploading photos directly to my Facebook account by using his laptop there so that I no need bring Marcus's memory card back home.

Yong Lik shared the experience studying in Japanese class. And he spoke Japanese to us too. Translation from Mandarin to Japanese seems not really a big problem to him. Wow. Keep it up. Next meet up he will be speaking fluent Japanese, I think. After several rounds of eating, we stopped. We started to clear the table. But most of us were playing, chatting instead of helping. Sorry for didn't really help much in clearing.

A Day Spent With Ruo Yun

Back to memory lane : 22 March 2011

Finally I saw Ruo Yun updated her blog with those photos and now it's my turn. I dated her out because she was back to Penang and it had been long time since we went out together. And we need to relax ourselves before getting our result the next day. I fetched her from her house to Gurney.

We went to buy movie ticket first. Ruo Yun finally grew up. Haha. The guy didn't suspect her age. Then we went shopping. She wanted a pair of shoes but unfortunately she can't found the one that suits her. I got myself a bag and earrings. The earrings with star-shaped I wore it had lost during my swimming lesson.

We sat on the bench, talked and gossiped after tired of shopping. We gossiped a lot, girls like it, don't they? Haha. We have like lots of thing to say but lack of time. Shall continue next time. Lol.

It was movie time later on. We were the first two people that went in. And we took photo in cinema again, like how we did it last time which was 2 years back. We watched Men Suddenly In Love. A comedy that will let us imagine Jian Wei who wanted to become a teacher in future.

After movie, we wanted to go to the hawker centre beside Gurney for dinner. But it rained. We have to cancel and go for another place. At last, Kim Gary Restaurant. I am sick of it now but my coupon still with me, lots of coupon.

I wrote down the order correctly and asked for waiter/waitress. None of them want to serve us. At last a trainee came and took order. She still blur with some foods that can take either ala carte or set and need me to explain back to her. She nodded but seems like still not so sure with it.

While waiting for food, we started to capture photos. I did lots of thing that I never did it, funny and weird pose. Others were like looking at us. Siao liao... Haha.

It's Dead

I went to one of the camera shop that was recommended to ask for DSLR stuff. Can't decide to get it or not without dad's permission. And I did asked about my compact camera. Well, he said that the lens spoilt, if take it to repair will cost a few hundred, not worth at all.

This camera was together with me for 3 years. The purpose I wanted to own a camera because of blogging. I wanted to have nice photos on blog. But who knows, once I started, I love photographing. Always been chose to in-charge of photographing in the events organised by clubs because they knew I like to capture photos.

Sometimes I just couldn't get nice and sharp-looked photos with this camera. But still, I used it to colour up my blog, tried to put photos here to prevent dullness and feel bored while reading. Most of the people don't like a long post that was filled up with only words, so do I.

Alright, back to my compact camera. When I switched it on, the lens scrolled in and out, the screen was blackout. It was the same if I restarted it, mostly.

It might successfully switched on without blackout on screen but look at what can be seen on screen. The display was blur and couldn't focus to capture photo. Previously I restarted, the screen will look okay. But these few days, it turned out to be like this, no more clear display, not even once.

And when I switched off, the lens was having problem. It can't fully close up but stuck at there. I did try to switch it on and off for several times, but the same problem occur.

I was thinking to repair so that sometimes I can bring this out when it is not a necessary to use DSLR. Or maybe lend to my dad for some events which I didn't go with him. But too bad, it wasn't worth to do so. Now, no camera can be used except my phone's.

It's dead, now. Currently still getting to know the basic about DSLR through internet and magazine before I get it.
